      • Goal is to raise $20,000 minimum to get two service dogs.
        • Two members have donated and have $2,000
        • $3,500 from a bank/credit union

    • Financial Health of our club – Ron
      • Mary thanked Ron for how well he manages the 2 budgets, which are tracked each month at board meetings
      • Operating = $11,000 for the year.  Budgets break even as a non-profit
        • Primary revenue is dues, happy/sad, meetings
        • Meals are breakeven – we used to get a boost at Colonial Candies because we brought the food.  Our meetings at Emma’s is now $8 for the meal to break even
        • $430 over budget at the moment

    • Donations
      • Nashoba Rotary Endowment has 501c3 status, which has its own board (majority not members of club board to show some independence).  Club board recommends to charitable endowment board, who approves
      • $16,000 available this year to spend, amount always based on fundraising from last year
        • $15,000 budgeted to be spent
        • Categories for catch all, global, scholarships, district, thanksgiving baskets, hurricane, RYLA, Rise Against Hunger etc

    • Work to Fun Ratio
      • Need to have fun!  Any ideas please share
      • March 6th at Slaters will be fun but will also count as a meeting (March 8th cancelled)
      • Discussion about attendance at social vs. meetings – track to acknowledge members involvement
      • Ray given a gold star for meeting attendance 😊
    • Misc. Discussion
      • Do we ever call into question a member who has below 50 or 30%?  Our club does not and Nanci is working with those people to re-connect and feel valued.
      • Why do people not attend?  Mostly job or family related reasons
      • Should we start meetings later?  That would make it harder for folks who leave at 5:00 and would have to stick around for longer.  But something to keep in mind
      • Our club is amazing at signing up for activities whereas other Clubs have a problem with filling slots.  Mary is so grateful for our efforts!
        • Some wonder what is our secret?  Mary thinks it’s out heart.  We are all here for the same reason to do good and make the world a better place.   It’s just who we are.
        • Core group who is very motivated and it is infectious – Ray
