Rotary Club Nashoba Valley Sponsors Veterans Day Breakfast Celebration

On Monday, November 12, Stow & The Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley  honored our veterans at the First Parish Church of Stow and Acton.

The breakfast, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley, featured a presentation from the keynote speaker, Brigadier General Francis Magurn, Assistant Adjutant General. Magurn commanded at every level in the Massachusetts Army National Guard, from platoon leader to land component commander and retired March 1, 2018 after more than 37 years of service. He continues to serve in the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, Military Division, as the assistant adjutant general.

Welcome Paul Swydan – The Silver Unicorn Bookstore
"For 14 years, Paul Swydan worked in the sports industry, most recently as a writer and editor, during which he wrote for FanGraphs, the Boston Globe, Boston.com, ESPN the Magazine, Pitchfork, and many others. Now, he runs an independent bookstore in West Acton, The Silver Unicorn Bookstore. A Massachusetts native, Paul is a graduate of Boston University."

Mary & Rich – Happy to have Rich’s college roommates visiting & “Just Happy”
Nanci – Happy to be collaborating with Mary on Membership and for Thanksgiving basket project.
Steve – Happy to announce Kenya Grant is moving forward.
Jeff – Happy For RCNV participation in the UBECI Jazz Concert Benefit. Announced he is a Piano Tuner.  
Catherine – Happy to be selling Birdseed Wreaths and to be having a FULL house for Thanksgiving Dinner!
Laura – Happy for another Successful Veterans Breakfast, The TX Baskets for Bolton Seniors. Sad/Happy for all the pies she is about to make.
Alex – Guest – Sad about the Club Runner Calendar – Happy to have joined us at Slaters.
Ray – Sad about snow as Bike & Scooter will be cancelled. Sad about  “Camp Fires” in CA.
Carolyn – Happy for Veterans breakfast and painting being done at Acton Habitat project.
