Marnie Oaks – EVENING
Family Genealogy

If you don't know where to start exploring your you family history OR even if you don't care a bit about your family history, Marnie will point you in a direction that should be helpful.  If you are already addicted to genealogy, please feel free to join in and add to the presentation.  Marnie's mother started researching her family's ancestors years ago.  She got caught up in genealogy when her mother, then in her 90s, wanted to know what Raymond, NH, was like in the late 1770s. It has been straight down hill (or up hill depending upon your perspective) since then.  Marnie is pretty much self-taught. Information from conferences, workshops, online webinars and such has combined with her library research skills allowing her to discover that her ancestors, her husband' ancestors and her ex-husband's ancestors were all in Ipswich in the 1600s.  She has also done some research for friends.
