MLRI is a non-profit organization which works for social justice and economic opportunity for low income people. MLRI is a statewide organization that has existed for over 45 years. |

Project New Hope Inc. is an organization that helps U.S. veterans and their families with addressing the challenges, fears and stigma that they face during and after they have served in our Armed Services. Project New Hope is committed to aiding our service members and their families by providing them the opportunity to get away and reconnect by attending one of our retreats. The organization offers tools for recognizing the symptoms and triggers of military-related occupational stress and injuries, as well as assist in developing coping mechanisms through holistic approaches to healing. |

First, Yoga Warriors provides evidence based hatha yoga to prevent or alleviate symptoms of combat stress (COSR) or Post Traumatic Stress(PTS). Second, Yoga Warriors is committed to the comprehensive training of yoga instructors equipped to teach this methodology to veterans, military, first responders and others who have experience PTS or high stress. There are over 350 Yoga Warriors trained teachers around the world. |

Gary Hough of the Wachusett Rotary Club (and NEADS Board member) will talk about NEADS (National Education for Assistance Dog Services, also known as Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 1976 and is based in Princeton, Massachusetts. Its Service Dogs become an extension of their handlers and bring freedom, physical autonomy and relief from social isolation to their human partners who are deaf or have a disability. |

Guyana Playground Project

Rotary Clubs of District 7910 and of Georgetown, Guyana partnered to renovate the play facility at the David Rose Special Needs School in Georgetown Guyana during the 19th to 25th February 2016. The partnership of the project was initiated when the Past District Governor (PDG) Richard Manelis indicated his group’s intention to visit Guyana for the purpose of working on a project. PDG Manelis heads up a Rotary service support group that each year visits countries to partner and implement needed community projects. |

Update on Guatemala Water Project

Funded by a Rotary Foundation grant sponsored by the Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley, the WPI Rotaract Club and Engineers Without Borders-USA implemented 22 rainwater harvesting systems in the village of Guachtug, Guatemala. As a result of this project, the approximately 220 indigenous Mayan people who live in Guachtug will no longer need to depend on a contaminated water basin as their main source of drinking water. This project also improves the lives of the people of Guachtug by reducing the amount of time the women and children spend collecting and carrying water.
